Meet Kathy
Kathy Jansen is a licensed massage therapist, yoga instructor, and Reiki Master with a deeply intuitive approach to healing. With over 20,000 hours of hands-on practice, she brings a uniquely integrated style that bridges physical therapy, spiritual alignment, and emotional release.
For Kathy, healing isn’t just about fixing pain, it’s about paying attention to what your body has been trying to say. She sees every session as a two-way conversation: guided by anatomy and technique, but also by intuition, care, and presence. Our bodies carry memories, emotions, and patterns. With the right support, they also know how to let go.
Her sessions go beyond easing tension. They help regulate the nervous system, bring the breath back into rhythm, and reconnect you with the deeper patterns of your own well-being. Many of Kathy’s clients come to her when they’re seeking more than a quick fix, when they’re ready to look beneath the surface, ease long-held stress, or simply reconnect with themselves in a more meaningful way.
Kathy’s journey into this work began long before she became a professional healer. In the mid-1990s, while living in Tampa, she turned to yoga as a way to balance the demands of dance, personal injuries, and the search for steadiness in her own life. Hatha yoga — the union of body, mind, and spirit through asana, breath, and meditation — became her foundation. Over the years, she’s embraced the full philosophy of yoga, rooted in non-judgment and compassion through its eight limbs. Today, she encourages her students to stay open to many styles and teachers, believing each one has something unique to offer.
Massage therapy became another essential piece of her path. After years of giving treatments, and through her own experiences with injury and recovery, Kathy began to notice repeating themes in her clients. The body’s anatomy is the same for everyone, and patterns of pain often show up in familiar ways. She realized that what she was telling clients over and over again — simple self-care techniques, stretches, and awareness practices — could help people far beyond her table. By teaching self-help methods alongside her hands-on work, Kathy empowers clients to save time, money, and frustration, and in some cases, avoid unnecessary surgeries.
Today, Kathy continues to weave together everything she’s learned, from bodywork to yoga, energy healing to anatomy, into a practice that honors the whole person. Sessions are available in-person in Apalachicola, FL, and remotely for clients anywhere through video or distance energy work.
